Bifacial solar cells capture light on both their front and back surfaces, increasing power output compared to conventional monofacial cells. Key specifications include the bifacial factor, which is the ratio of power generation from the back side to the front side (typically around 85%), as well as a higher overall power output from the module due to the additional energy captured from reflected light (albedo). These cells are typically made from high-purity monocrystalline silicon and often use double glass or transparent backsheets to allow light to reach the back cells.
